Aim and Scope

The aim of APFIS 2007 is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners in the Asia-Pacific region and elsewhere in the world, for the sharing of latest developments in the research and application of FRP in civil engineering structures.

Papers dealing with all aspects of the application of FRP composites to civil engineering structures will be considered for publication in the conference proceedings and for presentation at the conference. Topics include but are not limited to:

  • Materials and products
  • Strengthening of concrete, metallic, timber and masonry structures
  • Strengthening of historical structures
  • Bond behaviour and debonding failures
  • Confinement
  • Seismic retrofit
  • Concrete structures reinforced or prestressed with FRP
  • Ductility of FRP strengthened or reinforced concrete structures
  • All FRP structures
  • Fire, impact and blast loading
  • Durability and long-term performance
  • Structural health monitoring and intelligent sensing
  • Field applications and case studies
  • Codes, standards, and design guidelines
