MSc(Eng) Modules Approved by Continuing Education Fund

 

Renewal for Registration of Course under the Continuing Education Fund

The following courses on the list of reimbursable courses under the Continuing Education Fund (CEF) with a validity period from 1 April 2023 up to 31 March 2027 have been approved by the Secretary for Labour and Welfare (SLW). They are discipline courses offered by the Department of Civil Engineering for the MSc(Eng) Curriculum in Civil Engineering (General Stream), but they may also be taken by students of other streams and students of our 5 former MSc(Eng) programmes as electives.

The following modules have been approved by CEF:

  5. 交通流理論（工學碩士（土木工程）之單元）
    Theory of Traffic Flow (Module from Master of Science in Engineering (Civil Engineering)) {New CEF course code: 36Z143226}

  6. 交通管理與控制（工學碩士（土木工程）之單元）
    Traffic Management and Control (Module from Master of Science in Engineering (Civil Engineering)){New CEF course code: 36Z143234}

As per the guidelines from the Labour and Welfare Bureau (“LWB”), the Office of CEF (“OCEF”) and the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (“HKCAAVQ”), all students enrolled into any of the CEF Course(s), MUST complete and return the “Consent for CEF Course Participant upon Enrolment” form to the School for record. This is applicable whether you will apply for CEF reimbursement or not in the future.

The consent form is valid for only ONE CEF course. If you enroll in more than one CEF course offered by HKU, a separate consent form for each individual CEF course should be submitted. (The consent form is attached herewith for downloading.)
