MSc(Eng) in Infrastructure Project Management
The MSc(Eng) in Infrastructure Project Management (IPM) is a part-time/full-time postgraduate programme which aims to provide advanced education in the management of infrastructure projects over their entire life cycle, i.e. from conceptualisation and feasibility studies, through financing, contract administration, design, construction, commissioning, operation & maintenance, evaluation and decommissioning. This will draw on and synergise relevant Departmental strengths in construction engineering and management, transport and development, environmental engineering, structural engineering and geotechnical engineering, as well as relevant industry expertise.
Applicants for admission should have a Bachelor's degree from The University of Hong Kong in Engineering or related fields; or an equivalent qualification from another comparable university or institution. Candidates holding a Bachelor's degree with honours as accredited (or accepted as a basis for corporate membership) by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers may also be considered.

Mode of Attendance
Part-time/Full-time (PT: 2-3 years; FT: 1-2 years); lectures of most courses will usually be given on weekday evenings and on Saturdays; lectures of some courses may also be given on Sundays; lectures of a few courses may be given during daytime of weekdays to suit mainly full-time students.

This programme is accredited by ICE, IStructE and IHT as meeting the requirements for Further Learning for a Chartered Engineer under the provisions of UK-SPEC for intakes 2002-2020, for candidates that have already acquired a CEng accredited BEng(Hons) undergraduate first degree.
