Project Mingde was founded by Professor Nicolas S. Y. Yeung in 2003 and was housed within the HKU community.

Project Mingde believes in the spirit “we grow as we build”, nurturing students from different disciplines through experiential learning whilst constructing school buildings and infrastructure, and providing social services for impoverished local communities in Asia.

Throughout the past 2 decades, Project Mingde has completed over 20 charity construction projects. Students have the opportunity to learn and engage in design, construction management and site supervision.
