Professor Wei Pan is Professor and Executive Director of the Centre for Innovation in Construction and Infrastructure Development (CICID), at Department of Civil Engineering of HKU. Professor Pan is also Acting Executive Vice-President (Administration and Finance) of The University of Hong Kong (HKU), Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Executive Director of HKU Shenzhen Institute of Research and Innovation (SIRI), and Director of Net Zero Laboratory and MiC Laboratory.
Professor Pan is specialised in sustainable construction engineering and management with rich practical, research and teaching experience in China, UK, Singapore and Hong Kong. Professor Pan serves many academic, government and industry boards and committees. His research interest covers modular integrated construction (MiC), offsite prefabrication, smart and sustainable construction, zero carbon building, building energy analysis, life cycle assessment, advanced structures and innovative materials. Professor Pan has attracted over HK$95 million research funding, authored over 300 publications, and supervised over 80 doctoral and post-graduate researchers.
Professor Pan is Chartered Builder, Chartered Environmentalist, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Member of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Convenor of Hong Kong Zero Carbon Partnership, Editor-in-Chief of ICE Engineering Sustainability and member of editorial board of a number of international journals.

Candidates with excellent bachelor’s / master’s / doctoral degree in Civil Engineering or relevant disciplines to the posts listed above are welcome to apply. Minimum application requirements are as follows: GPA ≥ 85%; TOEFL-iBT: Overall≥90; IELTS: overall≥6.5.
