Information about Professor Wei Pan’s research group

Professor Wei Pan is Professor and Executive Director of the Centre for Innovation in Construction and Infrastructure Development (CICID), at Department of Civil Engineering of HKU. Professor Pan is also Acting Executive Vice-President (Administration and Finance) of The University of Hong Kong (HKU), Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Executive Director of HKU Shenzhen Institute of Research and Innovation (SIRI), and Director of Net Zero Laboratory and MiC Laboratory.

Professor Pan is specialised in sustainable construction engineering and management with rich practical, research and teaching experience in China, UK, Singapore and Hong Kong. Professor Pan serves many academic, government and industry boards and committees. His research interest covers modular integrated construction (MiC), offsite prefabrication, smart and sustainable construction, zero carbon building, building energy analysis, life cycle assessment, advanced structures and innovative materials. Professor Pan has attracted over HK$95 million research funding, authored over 300 publications, and supervised over 80 doctoral and post-graduate researchers.

Professor Pan is Chartered Builder, Chartered Environmentalist, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Member of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Convenor of Hong Kong Zero Carbon Partnership, Editor-in-Chief of ICE Engineering Sustainability and member of editorial board of a number of international journals.

A number of research positions (at the levels of Research Assistant Professor (RAP), Post-doctoral Fellow (PDF), Research Associate/Assistant (RA), PhD, and engineers) are available at Professor Wei Pan’s Research Group, Department of Civil Engineering of The University of Hong Kong (HKU):

研究主要内容为模块化装配式建筑运输场景下的运输车辆选型,最优路径选择,交通流仿真、交通风险评估以及运输过程安全监控。申请者应具有一等学士学位或相关领域的硕士或博士学位。优先考虑具有路径优化或交通流仿真研究经历的申请者。
专注于人工智能(例机器学习及深度学习算法)、数字化建造(例数字孪生、虚拟/增强现实)、机器人技术、物联网等技术,实现在智慧城市发展下的模块化装配式建筑及基建项目供应链的集成化及性能的监测、诊断、预测和优化。申请者应具有一等学士学位或相关领域的硕士或博士学位。优先考虑具有智能系统的软硬件开发经验,物联网平台开发和设计,或精通至少一种计算机编程语言(例C++、Python、C#)、并具有使用专业软件和仿真平台(例如Unreal、Unity、ROS、Nvidia ISAAC SIM)研究或实践经验的申请者。
研究主要内容为高层混凝土模块化装配式建筑中新型低碳混凝土材料的研究与应用,高强轻质混凝土的研究与应用,复杂环境下新型混凝土材料耐久性研究,新型轻质混凝土骨料的应用研究。申请者应具有在土木工程或材料科学领域的一等学士学位或硕士学位。优先考虑具有低碳混凝土材料,纤维混凝土及轻质混凝土相关研究经历的申请者。
研究主要内容为模块化建筑供应链管理、供应链绩效衡量和公共政策分析。申请者应具有一等学士学位或相关领域的硕士或博士学位。优先考虑具有建筑管理、公共政策和行政管理、统计分析和多标准决策分析方面研究经历以及良好的英语写作能力的申请者。
工作主要职责:
  • 负责建筑和城市交通仿真场景下的常规逻辑开发;
  • 负责网页和电脑客户端适配和效率优化。
  • 岗位要求:
  • 熟悉常用的数据结构和算法,有较强的逻辑思维能力;
  • 熟悉C++, C#,或python等开发语言,至少精通其中一种;
  • 一年以上UE(或者相当的通用引擎Unity3d,Nvidia ISAAC Sim)使用经验;
  • 本科及以上学历,至少1年游戏/三维动画仿真开发工作经验。
  • 工作主要职责:
  • 负责软件平台、工具后端开发;
  • 深入理解场景业务,按照产品设计需求完成平台架构搭建和后端实现。
  • 岗位要求:
  • 计算机相关专业优先,具有深度学习、图像处理开发经验的优先;
  • 熟悉C++, Java或python等开发语言,至少精通其中一种;
  • 熟悉Dokcer容器技术,Linux环境下开发与部署;
  • 本科及以上学历,至少1年后端开发工作经验。
  • 工作主要职责:
  • 负责平台网页前端的设计和开发工作;
  • 持续优化网页前端呈现、自动生成能力,提升用户体验和开发效率。
  • 岗位要求:
  • 负责过网页前端项目,熟悉W3C标准,精通HTML5/JavaScript/CSS3/nodejs等Web开发技术;
  • 熟悉主流JavaScript框架和库,精通至少一种MVVM框架(如angularjs、reactjs、vuejs),有框架优化能力;
  • 有3D模型在浏览器上的渲染调优和3D交互功能开发经验优先;
  • 有WebGIS开发经验,熟悉空间数据处理优先;
  • 本科及以上学历,至少1年前端开发工作经验。
  • 工作主要职责:
  • 负责多源融合的SLAM算法设计,开发,测试和部署,支撑高精度地图和建筑三维重建工作。
  • 岗位要求:
  • 熟悉基于激光、视觉、惯性传感器、GNSS等多源传感器融合的SLAM开源框架和算法;
  • 熟悉图像和点云处理、OpenCV、PCL、ceres/G2O位姿优化等;
  • 精通C++或Python,能够在LINUX平台下编码,有高精度地图和建筑重建经验优先;
  • 本科及以上学历,至少1年SLAM开发工作经验。
  • 工作主要职责:
  • 负责基于点云和图像的三维模型重建算法设计,开发,测试和部署,构建高精度三维地图和建筑;
  • 岗位要求:
  • 熟悉基于点云和图像的三维重建开源框架和算法;
  • 熟悉三维场景的理解,包含但不限于图像、网格或点云的语义分割;
  • 精通C++或Python,能够在LINUX平台下编码,有高精度地图和建筑重建经验优先;
  • 本科及以上学历,至少1年三维重建开发工作经验。
  • 工作主要职责:
  • 负责自动化设备的机械结构设计及外构件选型,测试和部署,熟悉机器人仿真优先。
  • 岗位要求:
  • 熟悉机械原理、机械设计、机械加工或装配工艺,熟练使用至少一种机械行业常用三维建模软件;
  • 精通常见的气动/液压元器件、机械传动相关零部件、各类传感器、电机的计算选型;
  • •本科及以上学历,至少1年机械设计和开发工作经验。

    Candidates with excellent bachelor’s / master’s / doctoral degree in Civil Engineering or relevant disciplines to the posts listed above are welcome to apply. Minimum application requirements are as follows: GPA ≥ 85%; TOEFL-iBT: Overall≥90; IELTS: overall≥6.5. All applicants should also have a high degree of self-motivation, good written and oral communication skills in English, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
