Research Interests

  • Highly compressed methane gas cause and mechanism of earthquakes and/or volcanos
  • Highly compressed gas cause and mechanism of large and rapid landslides with long runout distances
  • Highly compressed micro-gas inclusion cause and mechanism of rock bursts and/or large deformation in rock tunnels
  • Development of an alternative theory of the Earth via a thin and highly dense and compressed methane gas-sphere between the solid crustal rocks and the hot mantle materials
  • Development and invention of automatic drilling process monitor (DPM) for in-situ continuously measuring and recording the strength and distribution of rock masses at depth in real time
